1668 Gründung der Brauerei durch Balthasar Hörmann. Seit 1899 ist die Brauerei im besitz der Familie Widenmayer

Die Engelbräu wird vom heutigen Besitzer, Felix Widenmayer bereits in der vierten Generation der Familie Widenmayer mit Erfolg geführt. Persönliches Engagement und das solide Handwerk prägen unseren Stil. Denn es gibt Werte die haben immer Bestand: Qualität und Tradition.

Clear amber with a medium beige head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt, caramel and hints of chocolate. Sweet flavour with roasted malt, caramel and chocolate. Not bad.

Clear golden with a large off white head. Sweet yeasty aroma with bananas and wheat. Sweet yeasty flavour with bananas and wheat notes. Finished sweet.

Clear golden with a tiny white head. Somewhat malty aroma with hints of caramel. Sourish flavour with malty and hoppy hints. Sourish dry finish.

Bottled. A pale golden beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma has notes of straw and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, straw, and a bit of sulphur, leading to a bitter finish.
