The bottle looks good, the beer in the the glass also. But the foam disappears fast. Tastes very fruity but also very sourish. Finish is yeasty. Average!

Bottle: Hazy, golden, stable big white lacy head; lemony, also wheaty-phenolic nose, astonishing nutty traces too; mild to moderate sweetish-sourish flavour, medium bodied, creamy MF; sweet and tart fruity finish with traces of wheat: A simple, but pleasant Weizen, dominated by lemons........

(bottle) I was told that Stöttner Festbier PfaffenGold is the renewed Festbier, now available all the year. Clear, pale golden colour with a big, but quickly diminishing foamy white head. Sweet, slightly strawy malt aroma with a touch of honey. Slightly sweet flavour with a tinge of bitterness, medium to light bodied with a moderate carbonation. Malty base, not overly aromatic but slightly papery and perfumed; almost dry, honey-malty finish with shy hints of hops. Just the souped-up version of their Helles.

Bottle (thanx to joss ! ): Deep amber, with ruby sparks, coloured, no head to speak of; sweetish-malty, slightly roastmalty nose; bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied, a bit oily; sweet-malty-bitter finish with a lingering hoppy aftertaste. A robust and unusual hoppy Schwarzbier, really a bit above the average..................
