A nice velvety full bodied stout. All the classic flavours, but a bit stronger. Craft Baza Chisinau

DRAFT. Really dark brown, still the light comes through, dark mocha head. The aroma is sweet mix of cooking chocolate and sticky burnt sugars, with a nice winey astringency, alcohol that barely starts to warm the nose up. Similar flavour profile - relatively simple caramelized sugars, yummy in a way, some dried herb hops add a nice balancing touch. Medium to full, not sticky body. Lingering herbal bitterness, and sugars still. Not too sophisticated, sweetish, but full bodied and enjoyable enough.

BOTTLE 75CL. Clear dark ruby, nice mocha head. The aroma has the coffee, really sweet coffee, and quite a bit of toffee and butterscotch. The taste is surprisingly low on sweetness, just some balancing malts, coffee roast acidity, woody / herbal bitterness. Enough body yest easy to drink. A bit "different", not your usual candyish coffee milk stout, but still food.

BOTTLE 33 CL. Hazy mahogany, creamy beige head with good retention. The nose is fruity, plums, plum pie, but also a little yeasty and cheesy. Not much smoke, if any. The taste starts with rounded mildly fruity malts, followed by light winy astringency, very little hop bitterness. A touch of cheese pie on the back end. Smooth low carbonation mouthfeel.

Last summer at City Blues, Bucharest, shared with lovely Anja. Black, small off-white head. Coffee, roasty, dark chocolate, ash. Coffeeish dry, light tart, balanced with fruity and brown sugar sweetness. Medium body, moderate carbonation, smooth, dry finish. Beautiful.

Dark brown color tan head. Aroma of lightly earthy coffee. Taste is sweet cafe au lait. Pleasant.

Bottle via Romania courtesy of Silviu. Pours very dark brown with a moderate sized beige head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, lactose and subtle dark fruits. Medium sweetness, light bitterness. Medium body, sticky smooth texture, soft carbonation after initial fizz wears off. Decent brew.

BOTTLE 33 CL. Cloudy amber, big beige head. Pretty strong overripe grapefruit, canned/stale citrus, citrus jam. The taste is that jammy citrus, juicy mouthfeel, a little yeasty. Not bad, but way to low on bitterness and/or resins.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks troubles. Strong vegetal coffee aroma, roast. Sweetish and slightly sourish flavor, milky, with coffee. Medium-bodied. Too vegetal and milky.

Bottle shared. Dark brown pour with a thin beige head. Notes of roasted malts, roasted coffee, light licorice, light smoke, molasses, caramel. Pretty light for its style, but good nonetheless.
