bottle, bought at the brewery. Clear yellow colour with a mid-sized white head. Woody-hoppy nose. Light- to medium-bodied, solid malty background with nice resiny hop flavours, hints of grass and herbs, especially in the finish. There is a woody hop accent i the rather dry finish as well. Lively carbonation.

Finally: A beer whose name is spelled as it is pronounced: Feschtbier, not Festbier! Ortographically not quite correct, but phonetically very correct for the south of Germany. Linguistics aside, the beer pours a pale golden colour with a mid-sized white head. Malty nose with a fruity and woody accent. Rather lightbodied for a Festbier, pardon me, for a Feschtbier. Malty body with hints of vanilla and honey, also sourish-woody hops in the finish. The carbonation is rather high and reminds me of a Kristallweizen. Perhaps I shall keep a bottle and see how it develops ;-)

bottle. Clear golden colour with a small white head. Very fragrant aroma of apples, malt, hops and hay. Light-bodied with a good malty background and lots of aromatic and fragrant hops. Slightly resiny and herbal, touch of hay. Easy-drinking beer with its own character.

Bottled. Cloudy pale orange, firm rocky head - looks delicious! Dryish and well rounded. Grassy herbal hoppy nose. Lightly buttey and doughy, getting increasingly bitter towards the finish.
