Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a medium yellow color with a small foamy white head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was bread, clove, bubblegum and a bit of tart citrus. The flavor was very bready with notes of clove, bubblegum and faint banana. Medium length bread, clove and bubblegum finish. Moderately full bodied. Solid.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a very dark brown - almost black color with a trace beige head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was woody and smoky with a bit of maple, cola and coffee. The flavor was bitter, a bit roasty, woody and a touch smoky with faint maple, coffee and cola. Medium length roasty finish with lingering wood. Medium body and a bit undercarbonated. Disappointing.

Sample at the Big Tap In on 04/21/2012. This beer is a dark brown color with a medium tan head that recedes steadily. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of sweet malt and maple. Medium body with flavors of toasty malt, maple and a bit of chocolate. The finish is sweet with a short maple and earth aftertaste. Decent overall.
