Bottle shared on Level 42 19/12/2016. A light hazed yellow straw coloured pour with a fine white head. Aroma is nice cereal grains, semi sweet, little honey, . Flavour is composed of semi sweet grains, cereal, little stale malts, grass. Palate is crisp, highish carbonation. Not bad at all.

0.5l bottle from hieber’s. pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. aroma of sweet grains, spicy hops. flavour of sweet grains, a hint of flowers. oily mouthfeel, mild bittersweet finish. easy drinking.

BKL2016. Dry grape aroma, white grape juice Beautiful orange sunset, offwhite cream. Medium full oxided grain base, metallic grain notes, grass, decaying hop, not badly so though. Most exiting aged beer line I have encountered so far I think.

BKL2016. Green herbal, onion like aroma Slightly grey Amber, offwhite cream. Mellow creamy mouthfeel Grassy herbal hops, light garlic, citrus. Grassy finish. Not bad, but the 2014 I had before was more engaging.

(screw cap bottle) Clear, deep amber to copper colour with a beige and firm mid-sized foamy head. Toast-malty and slightly nutty aroma with notes of caramel and a tinge of sugar beet. Sweet-bitter flavour, medium to full bodied with a smooth carbonation. Toasty malt character with notes of burnt caramel, nuts and mildly hoppy spice; sweet-bitter, moderately toasted finish with a fine herbal hops dosage. Rounded and not too sweet Doppelbock. 31.X.16

(screw cap bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a blond mid-sized foamy head. Slightly biscuity malty aroma with a minor grainy touch as well as grassy hops in the background. Moderately sweet flavour, medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Strawy malty and slightly biscuit taste with a whiff of honey and grassy hops towards the moderately sweet and slightly bitter finish with a touch of alcohol shining through. Not a hit, just solid. 31.X.16

Many thanks to kevnic2008 for this bottle! Smooth bitter, lots of grain, fresh, round, easy to drink with a bit too much grain and hints of smooth sweetish grain. Easy to drink, sessionable, that’s it.
