Bottle 319/350 from Triple Rock in Berkeley. Pours clear dark copper with a frothy beige head. Aroma of rum and toffee. Approaching full bodied. Flavor is rum, toffee and some oak heading for musty/astringency. Upon reflection there seems to be a hint of heat - tho it might be the astringency. Much drier than anticipated. Despite the maltiness. Rum and other things help the malt keep down sugariness. Tasty rummish sippery ale. Very enjoyable.

Tap at the brewpub. Pours light amber with a white head. Light malt aroma with a floral note. Medium body. Fairly dry and decently bitter. Maybe honey on my lips. Maybe. Tasty.
