Knackig herb-bitterer Abgang. 12/12/11/12//12

Tap at Alter Bahnhof. Cloudy yellow, plentifull carbonation, white cream. Light grassy nose. Ever so slightly underattenuated fruity base, minerals, quite bitter grassy hop balance. Chewy mouthfeel, sparkly. All in all a decent thirstquencher.

On draught: Cloudy, yellowish coloured, smaller slowly collapsing off-white head; distinctive aromatic-hoppy nose with a heavy fruity/estery and yeasty background; moderate dry bitter flavour, light bodied and fizzy; short hoppy and "green" finish. Not completely bad, but the plague of most of the "modern" german breweries is, that the beers are not well lagered......

(draught at the brewpub) Cloudy, pale golden colour with a blond mid-sized frothy head. Slightly sweet and distinctively worty aroma, restrained fruity with grassy hops. Bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied with a fizzy carbonation. A bit “greenish”, unripe malt-character with yeasty spice and grassy hops; moderately dry and bitter, also slightly grassy finish. Quite hoppy brew, unfortunately it lacks maturation. I was told by the staff, this was a pale Alt, comparable to the one mady by Pinkus Müller in Münster. 22.VIII.10
