Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear amber with a creamy, off-white head. Classical Bock nose with crystal malts and biscuit. Solid, malty body with the same notes as above but never really sweet. Quite some bittering hops. Delicious. 010223

Bottle from Getränke Hoffmann. Smooth mild grainy beginning. Easy to drink, soft bitter with a dry caramelly sweetish finish. Roast, dry burned caramel, bitter-sweet, nice.

16oz can from Advent calendar. Light amber body with a thin creamy head. Aroma is malty, light caramel, bread. Taste is malty and sweet, nice weight, with a faint snappy finish.

Day 22: Schlossbrau Rheder Husaren Trunk 5.5% Festbier/Märzen (according to RateBeer) Nice golden color with thin fizzy bright white foam. Very full aroma, the taste has some decent malt character and fairly prominent herbal hoppiness but throws in an ashy element. Disappointing, I’m hoping this calendar will finish on a high point.

Pour is a cloudy yellow with a large white head. Aroma is a bit of toasted honey malt. Flavor is more toasted malt with a little spicy white pepper at the end. Don't know where the pepper comes from but it's there. OK festbier.
