16oz can from Advent calendar. Light amber body with a thin creamy head. Aroma is malty, light caramel, bread. Taste is malty and sweet, nice weight, with a faint snappy finish.

Day 22: Schlossbrau Rheder Husaren Trunk 5.5% Festbier/Märzen (according to RateBeer) Nice golden color with thin fizzy bright white foam. Very full aroma, the taste has some decent malt character and fairly prominent herbal hoppiness but throws in an ashy element. Disappointing, I’m hoping this calendar will finish on a high point.

Pour is a cloudy yellow with a large white head. Aroma is a bit of toasted honey malt. Flavor is more toasted malt with a little spicy white pepper at the end. Don't know where the pepper comes from but it's there. OK festbier.

Can. Costco Advent 2021 - #8 A- Toasted malt, grains, faint caramel. A- Golden color, clear liquid, white head. T- Toasted grains, slightly nutty, malt, mild caramel. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Well balanced. Easy to drink. Nothing memorable about it, but certainly made well enough.

A bit of a deep golden with a white head. Malty, sweet fruit, a bit toasted. Medium bodied. Finish has a slight bite. Nice.

Klare goldene Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Malziger, brotiger Geruch. Geschmacklich malzig, brotig, getreidig. Mittlere Süße mit leichter Bitterkeit, mittlerer Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.

Schloßbräu Rheder Husarentrunk Maibock, Fläschchen von Getränke Hoffmann, Berlin. Nicht zu verwechseln mit den andern Husaren-Bieren aus demselben Haus. - Kupfergold, blank. - In der Nase bocktypisch fettes, sirupartig süßes helles Malz, mattes Dörrobst, Aprikosenkonfitüre, dezente Orangenschale von feiner Herbe, Alkohol. - Antrunk breit hellmalzig und unschön sirupartig-malzsüß mit überreifem (fauligem) Obst, bitterer Orangenschale und krautiger Hopfenbittere. Milder rezent, breit; schlecht kaschierter Alkohol. Im Abgang dumpfe Malzschwere und plumpe krautige Herbe. - Fett malziger, aromatisch plumper Maibock, kaum befriedigend. (21.6.2022.)
