Bottle. Strong smoked ham malt aroma. Clear dark chestnut color with moderate head. Smoked ham and creamy malt flavor. Nice body. Not as smokey as Schlenkerla but more than Spezial. Excellent.

Bottle: Clear, deep amber coloured, mid-sized stable creamy off-white head; moderate to solid sweet dark-malty and smoky (burnt wood) nose; moderate to solid sweet and slightly bitter flavour, quite full bodied for a beer of 5.2%; slightly lingering sweet and bitter finish with an increasing hoppiness towards the end. Good, good brew....

(bottle) Clear, dark brown colour with a tall and tanned foamy head. Sweet and toasty malty aroma with a distinctive and present smoke-character. Sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Distinctively smoke-malty taste with toasty notes, traces of caramel and milk chocolate; moderately sweet and smokey finish. Bottle. Strong dark chocolate malt and hay aroma. Dark brown chestnut color with large tan head. Sweet chocolate and molasses malt and lightly bitter herbal hops flavor. Nice body. A little light but overall a very good beer.

bottle from Bierzwerg. Clear golden colour, mid-sized white head. Malty, resiny-hoppy with lots of hay and grass. Very full-bodied, intensively malty.

Bottle. Honey, barley malt and light astringent aroma. Clear golden yellow color with moderate head. Sweet honey malt and moderate bitter quinine and astringent alcohol flavor. Medium body. Not bad but a little rough in the finish.

Bottle. Light barley malt and hay aroma. Clear golden yellow color with large white head and mild effervescence. Lightly sweet barley malt and mildly bitter herbal hops. Very light body. No bad flavor - just extremely light.

Bottle (best by 16.05.11). Sweet caramel malt and light hay aroma. Clear amber color with small head. Sweet caramel/butterscotch and lightly bitter hay hops flavor. Pretty good - a bit heavy on the diacetyl flavor.
