(bottle) Clear, deep golden coloured (and not very copper coloured as the name of the beer claims) with a big but non-persistent foamy white head. Sweet, slightly toasted malty nose with a nutty touch, whiffs of caramel and shy notes of hops. Moderately bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft and quite pleasant carbonation. Toast-malty, slightly nutty taste with caramel; moderately dry, toasty finish with a burnt and slightly hoppy bitterness. A Dunkel without being really dark/dunkel (coloured); one of the rare goddies from Meusel.

(bottle) Almost clear, deep golden colour with a fluffy but not very persistent off-white foamy head. Sweet cara-malty aroma, slightly bready and nutty with a whiff of herbal hops. Bitter-sweet flavour, medium to light bodied with a soft carbonation. Cara-malty, slightly chalky and nutty taste with light herbal accents; moderately dry, bitter and slightly sweet finish with a light herbal hops character. Unspectacular but pretty drinkable Märzen.

(bottle) Clear, deep golden colour with a short and slightly off-white foamy head. Sweet, cara-malty and slightly nutty nose, all in all quite discreet. Sweet flavour, medium to light with a soft caronation. Caramel-malty taste with a distinctive nutty (chestnut) touch¸ sweet and slightly bitter, malt-accented finish with faint notes of herbal hops. Rather mediocre, except for the nutty notes.

Bottle (in der Brauerei gekauft):Clear, deep amber coloured, mid-sized lacy off-white head, sugary, caramelly nose with a faint tinge of smoked malt; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; a touch of vegetables in the sweet sugary finish, some smoke in the aftertaste. An odd brew with a stupid name, no repetition necessary.........

Bottle (beim Juniorchef gekauft): Deep golden, bigger frothy yellowish head, moderately sweet, a bit bready nose with a nutty touch; light to medium bodied, moderate bitter-sweet flavour; moderate, as well, bitter-caramelly finish with some nutty traces in the aftertaste. Nothing wrong with it..........

Bottle (from the brewery) Straw golden, quite stable frothy white head, sweet grainy to malty nose with a touch of vegetables; light to moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light bodied; a bit perfumed malty-bitter finish. O.K., but quite disappointing, by franconian standards.....

Bottle (bei der Brauerei gekauft): Golden, mid-sized creamy white lacy head, initial bisquity-malty, later oaky-hoppy nose; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, smooth MF, medium bodied, well hidden alcohol; oaky bitterness in the sweet-malty finish. Pleasant, well balanced brew.......

Bottle (purchased at the Brauerei): Golden, lacy, but quickly diminishing white foam, sweet-grainy nose with a tinge of glue; moderate swwt-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; short sweet-grainy finish with a non-existing smoky tinge. Disappointing stuff, maybe the smoked malt exists only in the imagination of the brewer......
