Bügelverschlußflasche (label says:" Festliches Export"): Deep golden, mid-sized fluffy off-white head, sweetish malty-caramelly nose, hops very well hidden; moderate sweet and (malt-)bitter flavour, pretty light bodied for a beer of 5.4%; some malt and some fruits in the short sweet-bitter flavour. Not very "festive", but still O.K. ......

50 cl bottle, BBE 05/2012
Malty and a bit stale aroma is slightly sweet with caramel and hints of vanilla. Flavour has some grainy malt and hints of sweet caramel. Also hints of alcohol comes through. A bit unusual märzen, but good.

(swing top bottle) Cloudy, dark brown colour with a beige and tall foamy head. Yeasty, fruit-accented aroma with notes of berries and prunes; slightly toasted and moderately wheaty malt-character, accompanied by mildly phenolic spices. Moderately sweet flavour, surprisingly slim bodied with a moderate carbonation. Mildly toasted malty and slightly wheaty taste with aromatic fruity notes; a bit slim but nevertheless fruity and slightly toasty finish. Likeable dark Wheat although it lacks a bit body. 01.X.11

(swing top bottle) Clear, deep golden to amber colour with a medium-sized tanned foamy head. Cara-malty aroma with notes of biscuits and a discreet herbal hoppy background. Bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a slightly sharp carbonation. Cara-malty and chalky taste with hints of biscuits and herbal accents; the latter especially towards the bitter and slightly sweet finish with discreet but still present herbal hops. Pleasant. 20.IX.11
