Bottled at Moosbacher beer garden, Shekou, Shenzhen, China (as Moosbacher Schwarze Weisse). Hazy nut brown, rich head. Spicy and roasty. Dryish, yet fruity. Light bodied with rounded, almost crisp mouthfeel. Some slight caramel and red apple. Doesn’t lift off.

50cl swingtop, poured into a weizen glass - lively, hazy gold pour, with a frothy, lasting head - fairly tart and lemony up front - moderately yeasty, with a mild sweetness, subtle banana and clove - some earthy wheat and tanginess on the tail end - there are no discernible flaws here, I would even say it’s fairly tasty, it just seems to be lacking anything that really makes it pop - I like, but I don’t love.

Swing-top bottle. Strong lemon-lime aroma. Pale yellow color with moderate but quickly dissipating head. Sweet-tart lemon soda - mild carbonation - just the slightest hint of beer in the finish. A nice thirst-quencher but not much else.

Swingtop from Total Wine in Roseville, CA. Pours light gold with a 4-finger foamy white head. Aroma is difficult through all that foam, but banana is definite. Medium body with creamy/frothy carbonation. Flavor is wheaty and banana. Not a great deal of spice, but some lemon herb and possibly a touch of glove. A decent and very drinkable hefeweizen.

Bottle from Total Wine in Roseville, CA. Pours a reddish copper with a decent white head. Aroma is lightly roast malt with something like citrus hop. Medium body with average carbonation. Flavor is malt, a little citrus, a little paper. Finishes lightly floral with hints of wood. Drinks very nicely.
