Pour is a dark hazy brown with a large white head. Aroma is a very sweet brown sugar molasses combo. Flavor is sub par. Some dirty malts show up but not much else. Finish is watery and weak. Not as bad as some have said on here and Im sure its much better in Germany.

Pour is a bright yellow with a small white head, Aroma has some wet grass and biscuit. Flavor is a let down. Very weak amount of malts and almost no hops. Finish is watery and bland.

Pour is a very murky brown with almost no head at all. Aroma is very grainy and dusty with a lot of brown sugar. Flavor is a bit weaker that the aroma but there still is a lingering mustyness with a bit of sugar and hops. An ok example of a style that is hard to find.

Caged 500mL bottle. Nice initial outward package impression. Nothing special on the aroma, just plain typical americam lager smells, without the corn. Ever so slight haze in the glass on an otherwise ubiquitous appearing lager. First taste has a mild pilsner bite. Hop is everpresent, but it is not bitter hop. wet hay and yellow grassy uneveness. Much more than the american lagers and it lacks any of the ungentlemanlike characters. Of course there is no industrial adjuct or processed lager attributes. Quite unrefined in a good way. Interesting on the finish, no bad aftertastes at all. Some mild fine pilsner hop bitterness on the finish. Not as enjoyable as Edenton Helles Angel, but exceedingly better than Great Lakes Dortmunder Gold.

Don’t you just love openeing those caged top bottles? Been waiting a while to drink this baby. Big poof when I released her. Pure clean hefe aroma, just like it should be. Big hypnotizing swirling pour from this unfiltered wheat with gunk on the bottom of the 500 mL bottle. Cloudy very light brown appearance. Large foaming head and this stuff has lots of good tingle in the carbonation. Good clean wheat flavor lacking overspiceness, and I’m glad. Too many wheat beers over do it on the spice. IMHO simpler is better when it comes to wheat beers. At times, it seems to have a little hop bitterness in there, and I really don’t appreciate that in a wheatie. Very nice finish and I’m surprised I’m already at the bottom of the bottle, must have been good. The only thing I didn’t dig about this brew was that small amount of hop bitterness, however, it was very well controlled.

Nice if not the best example of kellerbier I’ve had. Bronze color with weak carbonation, minimal fizzy head, no lacing. Weak caramel aroma, with a touch of spicy hops. Flavor featured a more prominent spicy hop, with a tight line of caramel down the middle of the palate. Finish was a nice long spicy bitterness. Lightish palate that was somewhat flat.

Molasses, raisin, and hop aroma, with wood and nut undertones. Relatively dark brown color with a huge almond colored head. Flavor is very, very sour, with only traces of bark. Weak moss finish. Enjoyable, but given the price, it isn’t a great value.

Not very good for one of my favorite styles. Aroma has light wheat and some chemicals. Flavor is a sour, too sour for the style. There is wheat in there as well, but no fruit or spices common to the style. There is a lot of yeast and the color is right. This beer was probably off.

Sadly this is not as impressive as their tasty helles. Orange color, looks good. Lots of lemon in the aroma. Flavor is sweet wheat, but the flavors are not intense enough and there is no complexity and lack of spice.

This was a nice helles. Gold color and just a little cloudy, and clear, a great summer beer on a hot day by the barbecque. Moderate hops in the aroma and flavor and malt with grass in the flavor. Crisp, clean finish.
