Hazy mud brown color, small off-white head. Sour, peppery-wheaty aroma. Wheaty with sour milk flavours, glue-like notes. Solid body, but nothing else - not very fruity, also too little roast or alcohol punch for a good dunkelweizen. Finish has some citric lemony notes.

Flip-top bottle: Pale golden coloured, small foamy layer, sweet-malty nose with a cardboardy touch; robust bitter flavour, light bodied, light malty base; bitter-sweet-malty finish with a distinctive aromatic hoppiness. A poor aroma, but a good, aromatic finish.......

Re-rate as Brotzeit Seidla, assume it is the same. Pale golden, fairly carbonated, Grainy juicy aroma. Dry grassy entry, a hint citrus, cracker malt, a hint moppiness, good balance though, still quite fresh and pleasant. Old rating:7 4 7 3 13 Bottle, thanks Pivnizub. Pale green-golden, champagne bubbles, creamy white head. Fresh green hop aroma, grassy, light metallic. Light yet chewy bready body with a solid hop balance - but nut quite enough pitterness to push it into the pilsner category. wellattenuated, fine sparkly mouthfeel. Aromatic hop aftertaste. Very nice.

Bottle, provided by Pivnizub. Aromatic hop and chalk nose. Green golden, low head. Fairly mellow and balanced nothing sticks out - aromatic hops on a low level malt body. Lacks the typical dry bitterness to be a classical german pils and is not quite aromatic and chewy enough to be bohemian.

Swing-top bottle: Copper coloured, thin and a bit lacing white foamy layer; sweetish malty nose with a touch of caramel and dried fruit; initial slight sweet maltiness; light bitter-sweet flavour; longer lasting finish: combination of dry bitter tones with maltiness. Not great, but goes down well.......
