Bottle 50 cl. Way too large for this kind of beer. Creamy lightbrown good mostly deminishing head. Black colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Powerfull moderate bitter flavor. Vanilla and chocolate notes. And too powerful coffee notes. Way too alcoholic. Long finish. Creamy palate.

Bottled (from Ölkonsortiet, Aalborg). Pitch black colour, mediumsized brown foamy/creamy head. Leaves some lace. Aroma is roasted malts, some caramel and quite nice toffeeish notes. Also some very slight notes of metal. Flavour is mild roast, some caramel and quite bigtime metallicness. Toobad, since the metallic notes in the flavour ruins this beer totally. Atleast when cold.

Bottled (from Ölkonsortiet, Aalborg). Deep ruby colour with mediumsized beige foamy head. Aroma is lots of hops, mild alcohol and some hints grass and toffee. Flavour is hops, mild chocolate, slight roasted tones as well as some pineapple and mild toffee. Aftertaste is sweet toffee and quite sweet wooden notes. Mildly burning alcohol, but generally it hides the alchol very well. Dangerously easy to drink.

Botle. A clear, ruby beer with a finger thick dense beige head. Hoppy, fruity aroma indicating lots of sweetness. Touch of alcohol. Citrus, resin and some vague notes of cooked vegetables and beefstock too. Fizzy and sweet in the mouth, with some warming qualities. Caramel sweetness, beef-stock, a hint of cooked vegetables, some alcohol, pine-cones, fluor notes, some roasted malt and some bitterness in the flavor. Actually, it’s quite low on bitterness, considering all the sweetness. It’s more bitter in the finish, where also the initial flavors chime in. I’m not very impressed with this one, still there’s something about it I like. Had to go and cut me a slice of cheese and some sausage to go with it, that lifted the experience a bit. (080925)
