Bottled. A deep red beer with a thick tan head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of caramel, as well as medium notes of dusty hops. The flavor is rather sweet with a good deal of malt and alcohol, that gives it a good body and a dry finish.

Very dark amber color wit red shades; thick, creamy head. Aroma of caramel, corrected by light vanilla and oak wood and honey/mead, extremely light phenol. Medium body strength (I expected more), it has a very strong accent on the caramel as dominant flavor, with a later trace of rhubarb candies and some chocolate malt; quite strong bitterness, long final; in the end the alcohol warms the mouth. Quite good.

Bottle 50cl. Batch40 At first it tasted a bit unbalanced and "stingy" but after 1 hour in an open bottle, the beer was much better. I’ve got no idea why. It went from a bit boring to a bit interesting. Caramel and roasty notes, othewise like a mild stout or porter. looks nice, brown, hazy, nice head. sweet/bitter flavor, feels nice, not fizzy or anythnig. the 6% is well hidden and the alc. seems to be well balanced. I guess i have to try one again to figure out why it was so much better after some time. Or was it the food i had?. I’d buy it again. Funny name. The good. They also make The bad, and The Ugly (with rising alc. contents).

Bottle. Pours a clear, copper body with a really nice off-white head on top. The aroma is a bit strange, but sure not bad, with pear, maltyness and dust, lacking on the hops, considering it’s an IPA. The flavor continues down the same strange track that the aroma paved out, but the hops are present here. Not as present as they should though. Chalky, medium body, and a long, dusty and malty finish. Drinkable indeed, strange indeed, and cheap on the hops. (071123)

RB genuine rating # 2500 in 2007: 50 cL bottle. Pours hazy deep orange with a little white head. Deep berry fruity aroma, smells sweet. Flavour starts sweet. Fruity flavour with a solid malt tone leading into the finish. Finish holds a nice malty flavour with a very soft liqourice like note. Nice brew.

Bottle: Dark amber coloured, mid-sized lacing head, robust fruity nose (dried black berries) with a tinge of molasses and a good dash of aromatic hops; solid bitter-sweet flavour, medium-bodied; slightly sourish bitter-malty and fruity finish. A good experience..........
