On tap at John Bull, Aalborg. (as Old Anchor Porter) A next to black beer with a diminishing, dense tan to beige head. Nice lacings too. A bit weak on the nose, with roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, nougat and a tiny little sourness nicely blended. Some sweetness in the mouth, smooth, quite dry and well-carbonated, with chocolate and coffee. Some bitterness towards the finish, mostly coffee-like. Medium duration. An elegant, unchallenging porter with good drinkability. (080914)
