Bottle, shared by Maria. A small, white, lacings-leaving head sits on top of a clear, yellow-golden body. It’s super-grainy and mash-like on the nose, with hints of something sourish. A touch of fruityness too, but it’s the grainy, mashy thing that dominates. Spent grains, sweetness and some bitterness trying to balance it in the flavor. Grainy and bitter finish. Dry, thin on the palate. A rather bad one. 110529

Bottled 500ml (BB 05/2011)
Slightly hazy yellow color, decent cloudy white head. Bubblegummy aroma, some citrusy notes. Light to medium-bodied. Odd yeasty-bready flavors, clover spiceyness, citrus and toasted banana. Not my kind of hefeweizen.

Bottle, as Privatbrauerei Heller Hefe-Weissbier. A creamy off-white head sits on top of a golden-orange body that is quite hazy. Quite pleasant aroma with banana, cloves and fruityness. A bit on the sweet side though. The palate is too thin, with pleasant carbonation. Banana, some cloves and lemon, and a touch of yellow apples. Sweet yellow apples in the end. A decent one, silghtly too sweet and full of yellow apples, but it slides down easily and tastes quite good too. 110218
