Can. Banana, orange, clove, wheat malt, and hay aroma. Cloudy golden yellow with nice fluffy white head. Moderately sweet banana, orange, clove, wheat malt, and mildly bitter straw flavor. Good body. Nice - think this should be a lesson to the other German brewers: can the Weizens (and all other beers) you send to the states so they don’t taste like old cardboard. Too bad canned beer became a rarity in Germany in 2003.

Refrigerated 16 oz. aluminum can poured into a weizen glass. Hazy light orange with medium white head. Aroma is nice esters, medium s soft body, well carbonated, and good smal-bible lacing. Taste is soft wheat, some esters, and a little banana.

Oct. ’16. A 0.5 l can that poured golden body with a bigger head. Weak hay aroma. Light sourish hay to lemon flavor, grainy malt dictated it but opened a pleasant (but weak) biscuit note popping here and there and getting more pronounced in its finish. Thin to medium body with longer, dry herbal, hay/grainy and a bit eggy finish. Okay, drinkable but far from good and thrilling as a real pilsener.

Thanks to WillemsUrenkel for that one! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, small head. Malty-alcoholic aroma. Starts strong, a bit alcoholic, dry-malty. Grasy-moldy notes. Bitter background. Finish malty and some metallically notes. Okay.

500ml can: (as Wolters Black Beer) Dark, clear, rubied-black with a thick tan head. Dark chocolate, slightly smoky aroma. Taste is chocolate malt, roasty malt, a touch of licorice, a light earthy/mineral bitter. Decent, but a touch watery.

330 ml Bottle. Pours with a bright golden color and a large, very beautiful white head. The nose is restrained. Some malt, some grain, some hops. Taste starts with slighly bitter hops, followed by some cereals, sweetness and malt. Bitter finish. Better than most other low-alcs.
