Medium white head. Clear yellow body with fast carbonation. Strawy rubbery aroma with watery notes. Dryish mealy strawy rubbery taste with watery notes. Mid-to-light body. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish aftertaste of exactly the same. A bit of chalk. Well. Not much to cheer for here. (0.5l can from a convenience store in Reykjavik.)

50cl can (4,7%) from Vínbúðin, Borganes. Pours clear very pale golden with a white head. Mild grainy aroma with cooked vegetables, some lightly fruity and floral notes and hints of hops. Moderate to medium sweet, not much flavour or bitterness. Quite standard pale lager, not much to write home about, but drinkable.

50cl can (ABV. 4%) from Vínbúðin, Borganes. Pours clear golden with a small, but lasting white head. Mild grainy aroma with lightly fruity hints, traces of cookled vegetables and grass. Fairly standard pale lager - watery and not much flavour, just slightly grainy. Finishes lightly bitter. Hardly impressive, but drinkable. --- Beer merged from original tick of Pilsner on 24 Sep 2014 at 22:43 - Score: 4

33cl can (as "Gull Lite") from Vínbúðin, Borganes. Pours pale golden with a small, white head. Mild grainy aroma with notes of cooked vegetables and hardly anything else. Standard pale lager - watery and slightly grainy with a light bitterness. Gull? Not in my book. And I wonder what all the medals are doing on the can. Not much to write home about....
