Description
Hinckley’s first and only Micro Brewery has been up and Brewing since August 2013, when brothers Tracy Ellis and Phil Woodward, both CAMRA members and Beer Enthusiasts opened the first commercial brewery in Hinckley since 1900.

In 2016 Tracy and Phil decided it was time to pursue other ventures and sold the Brewery on, Louise and Darren Lavender who are landlady and landlord of two local real ale pubs decided to branch out into the world of brewing , keeping the name and beer range, Elliswood Brewery has increased its customer base and continued to produce and supply quality craft to all over the UK, adding new beers and specials.

Changed name from Elliswood to New Buildings in 2020.

Cask stillage at the Solihull CAMRA festival 2014. Poured a clear dark brown with a thin broken white head. The aroma is tropical citrus. The flavour is moderate bitter with a resin woody citrus hop palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask at GBBF ’14, day 1, 12/08/14. Clear golden with little in the way of a head. Nose is grain, faint caramel, light citrics, woody, paper. Taste improves, bitter orange, straw, light bread notes, grain, caramel. Medium bodied, moderate carbonations, semi drying close with light bitterness. So so.

GBBF Day 1. Cask. Hazy gold beer with a few white bubbles failing to forn a head. Palate is light and dry with mild fine carbonation. Smooth dry malts bring mild honey.sweetness. Light marmalade with a whisper of something citric. Light dry finish. Okay.

Clear dark golden with a small off-white, some lacing. Aroma is floral, fruity and caramel. Taste is fruity, caramel and candy

Sampled @ GBBF day 2. Clear orange golden color, small white head. Smell and taste malts, bitterness, malt bitter, lightly hops and a bit old hops. Average, decent body and carbonation.

Cask - Twig and toffee. Clearish copper with no head. Light twiggy bitterness and some caramel and grain.
