Aroma has mellow apricot notes and minerals. Flavour has minerals, apricot and some mellow herbal tones. Empty finish. Quite straightforward for this ABV.

How: Draught.
Where: SMÖF 2014.
Appearance: Brown colour with an off-white head.
Aroma: Butter, bread, some caramel, hops, but so much butter.
Body: Medium body and carbonation.
Flavour: Butter, bread, caramel, malt.
Comment: Either an erroneous diacetyl aroma and flavour, or just not a very good beer.

330 ml bottle from Systembolaget, order by the bottle (local) selection online, sent to my closest store.BB March 2015, sampled on October 16, 2014.28,60 SEK.The slighest bit hazy golden color, fairly big lasting white fluffy head that leaves plenty of lacing on the glass. Turns pretty cloudy with last pour into the glass, so likely a substantial bit of sediment at the bottom of my bottle. Malty, some grains, a bit hoppy, grassy, mild, light rubbery phenolic, caramel, husky scent. Doesn’t really smell bad, doesn’t really smell off, but smells of something not really correct, possible poor fermentation (temperature) control. Sweet, sugary, fruity, caramel, grassy, some citrus, hoppy taste. Fruity, sugary, sweet aftertaste. Caramel, sugary, floral notes that linger. Like a soft drink at first, but way later in the aftertaste comes a lasting bitter sensation. Though I’m proned to like sweet caramel focused beers, this turns a bit more towards white sugar / table sugar and less caramelly goodness. Rather full mellow mouthfeel, sort of low CO2 perhaps, but not disturbingly so, nice to take bigger sips on. There’s a medium to decent bitterness going on, but you almost don’t notice it from the first sweet sensation, once you get used to that you do notice it more, however you also start to notice some volatile rubbery phenoles as well as some higher alcohol or solvent like hints coming through, perhaps with the slight increase in temperature, perhaps after getting used to the other characteristics in there. More than decent, though a few kinks to work out I’d say, for my taste at least that is. With the last of the bottle poured, with sediment apparently, the nose turns rather increasingly more towards a rubbery phenolic character, whilst the taste turns more to crackers and bisquits. The nose lost from it but the taste gained, leaving rating scores as of first pour and first sensations marked down.

330ml Bottle - Hazy amber in colour. Mandarin, grapefruit and some earthy notes in the aroma. Tangy (almost fizzy) and hoppy taste with manadarin, mango, grapefruit and peach. Easy to drink.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Hazy golden, small head. Grassy nose with slight citrus. Mid dry with light-medium body and crisp, rounded mouthfeel. Fruity and grassy. Mid bitter finish. Simple, but without evident flaws and with good drinkability.
