(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a very cloudy orangey golden with an off-white head. Fruity aroma with touches of roasted malt and some caramel. Medium body with lightly sweet, roasted malt and a vague, ashy edge. Almost no bitterness and quite drinkable actually. 150807

Bottle. Dark, reddish brown body, with a small, tan to beige head. Burnt/roasted malt, some fruits and a slight sourness in the aroma. Slightly sour flavor as well, not bad though, and roasted, with a note of coffee and chocolate, leading to a dry, roasted finish. Medium body. I’m not sure wheter the sour note is intended, but hey, finally a drinkable beer from Samsø. (070704)

Bottle. Copper-orange, clear body, with a beige head. The aroma is mostly sour and acidic, but there’s some apricot and caramel in the background. The flavor is also mostly sour, but it is slightly roasted as well. Thin to medium body, quite astringent. Sour finish with some fruits in the background. Why do they keep on tormenting us with these shitty beers? (070627)

Bottle. Orange, unclear body with a lot of micro sized floaties. Nice off-white head. Unfortunately it doesn’t help if the wrapping is nice, when the contents is shit. It smells like solvent, is acidic and slightly fruity, and is definately the worst beer I’ve ever smelled. The flavor is sour and solvent-like as well. A strange fruityness is also present. Thin, astringent mouthfeel and sour finish. It left me speachless for a while, never thought it could be this bad and still leave the brewery. (070625)

Bottle. Dark orange, hazy body with a nice beige head. Sweetish aroma, with dried fruits, caramel and a wee sour note. Lightly roasted malt, dried fruits, caramel, hops and sourness in the flavor. Medium body, lightly astringent, with a dry, lightly hopped and sweet finish. The beer is not as sour as most Samsø beers I’ve had, maybe it’s because it was relatively fresh? Anyway, the beer would have gotten a higher rating without the off-flavor. (070625)

Bottle. Golden-orange, a bit unclear pour, with a nice, off-white head. That was the nice thing about the beer. It has the typical infected Samsø house character, quite fruity-acidic and sour, with a little touch of caramel. Sour and acidic flavor, astringent mouthfeel, and a finish with some hops. I am pretty amazed with the fact that the beers just continue to flow out of the brewery in this condition. Can’t someone teach them some QC? (070625)

Bottle. Unclear, orange-golden body with a lot of floaties and a beige head. Lemony, slightly milksour nose with wheaty notes. Not too bad, just plain wrong. Sour, lemony flavor, and sour finish. Astringent mouthfeel. Refreshing in a way, but certainly gone wrong. (070621)

Bottled. A murky brown beer with a thin tan head. The aroma has notes of straw, malt, and some roasted malt as well as hints of fruit. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of straw and vegetables, leading to a dry finish. The body is thin.
