50 cL bottle. Pours amber/brown with huge brown head. Lovely aroma of flowery hops. Taste is hops with a touch of malt and elderberries. Has a flowery and strong bitter finish. This is a really good brew.

Bottle. Creamy white excellent mostly lasting head. Dark yellow colour. Moderate hoppy light malty aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. I really cant detect elderberries, but it has a lactic (off!) hints in finish. Somethings wrong here. Oily palate.

Bottled. A hazy dark amber beer with a thick beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of raising and hops, as well as a light acidity. The flavor is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel, but also light notes of raisins and hops, leading to a slightly bitter end. OK.

50 cL bottle (lot 180806 BBD: 2-6-07). Pours unclear amber/brown with no head. Aroma is malty, slight sour (again!!!), strong notes of alcohol and yeast. Taste is sweet caramel malty with some sourness. Ends rather dry. Once again: these beers DO NOT last until the BBD and should presumeably be drunk immediately after being bottled.

50 cL bottle (bbd 2007-04-15). Pours unclear deep brown with huge light brown head. Good aroma of dark malt notes and some smoke. Has sweetness and some undefineable sour/bitterness to it as well. Well carbonated as first - but quickly disappearing. Taste is smoke and roasted malt, creamy mouthfeel. Taste again has this undefineable sour/bitterness which doesn’t seem to fit in. Rather dry bitter finish. Overall one of the better Samsø brews - but a bit one-dimensional and thin.
