Bottle 330ml. @ home.[ Trade by omhper ]. Clear dark black brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light brown to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, coffee, bourbon, dakr roasted. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, bourbon, dark roasted, chocolate, vanilla. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20131210]

Tap at the Green Lion, Malmo. Poured a hazy medium amber with a thin white head. The aroma is grassy nettle hop. The flavour is medium bitter with a big resin bitter hop palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. A nice enough IPA but I have to question the hops they used. Something isn't quite right.

12oz bottle via Secret Santa Winter 2013-2014. Pours a nearly opaque, deep mahogany brown with ruby edges, and some thin, off white head. Nose is fairly mild in the grand scheme of things, malt, molasses, some mild smoke, the smoke is almost like a char like a charred mushroom, some cocoa nibs, some pencil lead, a little soy. Flavors follow suit, a little fruit sweetness up front, plum, dried cherry, a little raisin, then the malt comes through, burnt biscuit, bread crust, molasses, some cola. Not a ton of barrel, which isn’t a bad thing. Full bodied, but dry at the same time. I guess the barrel comes through towards the end with a little vanilla, a little bit of grain alcohol. I’ve had better, but I’ve had much worse.

Bottle. An unclear, dark golden beer with a dense, beige, two-finger head. The aroma is piney and with a touch of grapefruit and some malts. It’s full-bodied and with a tad too much carbonation. Semi-dry. It’s tasting of bitterness, grapefruit and pine cones, some sweetish pale malts in the back. Bitter, citrus peel finish. Pretty decent, but far from the best IPA I’ve had. 140117
