A couple years ago, I sat at the far from remodeled Two Beers taproom, and talked with the beer tender about how impressed I was with their brand new, released that week, expirimental cider, called Three Pepper. It was delicious, and opened a love for pepper beers, and even inspired me to brew my own batch of pepper porter with the help of a good friend. I didn’t think the cider would stick around, mostly due to the lack of pepper beer appreciation, much to my surprise. Not only did it stick around, the peppers have found there way into an already solid IPA, and made it better. For some reason, the pepper profile and character in their beers (and ciders) are more intriguing than other brewers. It’s that perfect balance of heat and flavor that will longer and keep you wanting more. Draft pour pint at special brews. Copper orange pour with a cream foam head. Pepper heat aroma from a distance that will make you think this will be too spicy to enjoy. Well, for most of us. Dominant pepper flavor, but if you look hard enough, a solid hop profile pokes through. Very nice drinking heat beer here. Arguably my favorite one yet.

Small sample from tap @ Kick. Clear amber with a small off-white head. Strong aroma of pumpkin pie spices not leaving room for much more. Flavor is more than less the same as expected from aroma, lots and lots of pumkin spice with some caramel malt and dry fruit in the background. Quite balanced body and long lasting aftertaste with the same spicy flavors. Not really bad at all, and not too sweet actually, but a bit difficult to rate. Nice if you like this style, but the beer itself is parked somewhere in the background here. A small sample was enough for me, but sure interesting.

Bottle. Appearance - cloudy amber to brown with a nice lacy head. Nose - not fruity, something a bit varnish. Wood as well. Toffee. Taste - toffee again, a bit of lime on the finish. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - decent palate but nose underwhelming.

Draft pour pint at the Collective, for Two Beers Brewers night. Two Beers makes me think if Stone Cold every time. Two Beers! What!? I was raised on Pro wraslin. Not my fault. Cloudy golden yellow pour with a disappearing head. Citrus forward aroma. Flavor is orange, citrus, fruity side of the IPA. Easy to drink. Refreshing. Tasty. Nice IPA.

12 ounce can. Pours a dark amber color with a small white head. Damn, this beer is just full of sediment. I mean, that’s off-putting. It’s almost two spoonfuls of yeast (I guess). A light toast and citrus nose. The flavor is mild hops, some citrus and bitterness, caramel, tropical notes. I just can’t get over the insane amount of sediment.
