Bottle 50 cl. Pours a hazy amber with a lively and dense beige head - comes slowly gushing. Lightly spicy nose with a little overripe fruit. Solid body, a little caramel and nuts with a slight touch of pumpernickel. Warming alcohol finish. Not the most straight example of a Doppelbock, but at least you can see what they were trying to do. 110113

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a dark brown with a warm reddish hue and a creamy beige head. Quite a gusher. Spicy aroma with the sweet gale really coming through combined with some sweet roast. Medium body, excessive carbonation - the bubbles really fills your mouth. Sweet and roasty with pleasant notes of the sweet gale adding a slight licorice twist. Shame about the overcarbonation. 110113

Hazy blond color. Mild aroma of honey and smoke. Quite dry mouthfeel, strong flavor of chemicals, alcohol pungency, and not much mead or honey flavor.
