Almost black with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, dark chocolate and coffee. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and roasted moderate bitter finish. 271214

Almost black with small brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, caramel, little coffee and a little liquorice. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, liquroice, sweet, caramel, hop and medium bitter.

Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are rich roast malt, chocolate, licorice, coffee and hops. Dry roast finish.

Bottle. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Black colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Strong chocolate notes. Moderate bitter nice chocolate flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Creamy palate.

Sample at GABF 10/03/2014, thanks to my sis for assistance with note-taking. Clear orange-amber color with a medium thin white head that evaporates quickly. Spotty lacing. Aroma of hops, spruce and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of grassy hops, spruce and malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a resiny hops aftertaste. Above average overall.
