Bottle, 8.7%. CO2 aroma, a little acid and some dark sugar. The colour is dark brown and seems hazy, but it is difficult to see. Big stable rocky light brown head. The flavour is syrupy, but not sweet, with some cream notes and a little metal in the finish. The finish is also quite bitter, and a little rough. Swelling mouthfeel, but easily drinkable.

Bottle, 8%. Good fruity aroma with hay, yeast, fermented sugar. Shiny golden colour, seems almost clear. Good stable white head. The flavour is yeasty and peppery with some fermented sugar sourness. Dry finish, not fruity. Yeasty finish with a mild alcohol burn. To me, the type of less interesting tripel, dry, light and alcoholic.

Bottle, 12%. Good malty aroma, does not smell much of rum or alcohol, but smells nicely aged. Hazy golden colour. Looks sparkling in my Duvel glass. Small but tight and stable white head. The flavour is peppery with faint notes of rum. Some bitterness from too much white sugar in the fermentation. Bitter coconut finish. Not the luxury beer I was hoping for.

Bottle, 7.5%. The aroma is malty and caramelly at first, but quickly turns acidic and funky. Hazy copper colour. Good creamy stable off-white head. The flavour is ok acidic, but does not have much more to offer. A little funky sourness in the finish. The caramel is well-hidden. Ok refreshing.

Bottle, 10%. Brown sugar aroma. Clear very dark brown colour. Small fizzy light brown or greyish head. The flavour is very peppery with some brown sugar and a little yeast. The alcohol is a little green, but not too much, and it is very noticeable all the way through the taste from beginning to aftertaste. There is some sugar to balance the alcohol, but I would not say it is sweet for the style. Perhaps a little drier than some quadrupels.

Bottle, 5.4%. Caramelly aroma with spicy hop notes. Deep chestnut colour, seems clear. Very big stable rocky off-white head. The flavour is very malty, but not sweet. Has a powerful nutty note with biscuit and more caramel. Bready, nutty and caramelly finish and aftertaste. I did not expect much from this beer (style), but I was pleasantly surprised.

Bottle, 10%. Good malty and caramelly aroma. Almost clear chestnut colour. Big stable off-white head. The flavour is quite sweet, nicely caramelly with a big dose of spicy, noble hops. Very bitter, but it does not show too much until the aftertaste. I do love me a sweet and strong Doppelbock.
