12 oz draft at The Belfry in Kansas City, Missouri. The pour is a yellow golden with a well formed ½ inch white head. The aroma is cereal malt, bread, along with the slightest hint of toast. The taste is clean Helles, malt character, touch of floral, and the breadiness throughout. The palate is medium to light bodied, soft carbonation and a clean, mineral dry finish. Nice one.

12 oz can to glass at Green Dirt on Oak in Kansas CIty, Missouri, The pour is clear golden with a small off white head. The aroma is big citrus, tropical fruit, hint of pine and fresh cereal malt. The taste is a nice balance between the crisp clean cracker cereal malt and the citrus and tropical fruit hops. The palate is light to medium bodied with active carbonation and a citrus softly bitter mineral finish. Easy drinking and tasty.

Visited on a Thursday evening for dinner and beers. Located on the main street of De Soto with parking on the street out front. The brewery is in a renovated auto shop, with the brew kit to the right, the bar at the back, and a really cool interior of mismatched tables and chairs that builds up a comfortable, and welcoming environment. There are also a few seats at the bar. Big garage door on the front wall lets in light and a nice breeze. Beer selection is 10 house beers and 2 house ciders available as 8 or 12 oz pours or as a taster tray. Food available, though doesn’t seem to be a full kitchen. The Reuben panini I had was quite good. Crazy friendly service, cool spot with a great vibe.

12 oz draft at Force of Nature Brewing in De Soto, Kansas. The pour is an opaque brown black with a small khaki head. The aroma is pine, roast malt, and a bit of citrus faintly underneath. The taste is toast malt, slight licorice flavor, the pine, earth and finishes with more of the malt licorice. The palate is medium bodied with active carbonation and the earth, mineral, licorice finish.

12 oz draft at Force of Nature Brewing in De Soto, Kansas. The pour is brown, copper, ruby with a small tan head. The aroma is nutty malt, soft roast, and some cream. The taste is sweet malt, soft cherry, nutty and a nice earthiness. The palate is medium bodied with natural carbonation and the malt sweet and earth finish. Interesting, well made Brown Ale.
