I believe this is a 2007 bottle. It has been with me almost that long. Deep opaque brown with almost no bubbles. Smell has strong barley and a thread of alcohol. Thought there was some oxidation in there, but it was gone after a minute. Butter toffee in the taste, then, not really much to follow. Yes some alcohol, but a rather thin mouthfeel. Swirling up the dregs from the bottle gives it a bit more flavor. Kind of a tea crossed with Coca Cola.

2013? Vintage. Pours like apple cider mixed with OJ. That foam in the photo clears off quickly, but a column of bubbles keeps coming up in the center. Looks like juice pulp around the edge and in the beer itself. Smells a lot like peach nectar, just a bit of funk.
TASTE. peach? Check! Apricot? Check!
A lot of tartness once I actually get into sipping it.
2nd of 10 beers from the seller of another friend who's moving I have been going through the lighter alcohol ones or the ones that might not age so well, and saving a lot more barleywine and barrel aged stouts for later.

Another bottle shared by Karl. Of the 10 I got, this is the lightest in abv, and dated October 2014. So let's take a chance. Pours a pumpkin beer brown, with a light haze and a thin eggshell head. Mostly pumpkin pie spice in the nose. Perhaps a bit of oxidation. But that's the only thing off with it. Taste is a pretty standard pumpkin pie beer. Cinnamon and allspice, and a vegetal note from canned pumpkin. And some malt remains, perhaps the base was a golden ale? Still holds a nice fizz. And let's admit, it's a chance for me to tick off a brewery that closed years ago. Not disappointing.
