Seems appropriate to try this in a margarita glass. A little lime scent under the tab. Pours a bit of lemony yellow, low fizz. Tart lime taste right up front, maybe some extra citrus too. Trying to catch any added salt, perhaps I'm picking it up because it's what I'm looking for. I'm been hitting a lot of sours lately, maybe to space out from the Impy stouts and pumpkin beers the season is bringing.

Foam starts to gush just as I pop the tab, but I got it into the glass just in time. Opaque pinkish orange under a big rocky head.Plum smell is the first thing to my nose as I'm waiting for the foam to settle. Taste opens with mostly tartness. But the blackberry comes along at the same time. Sourness does play along. Would go well with a soft French cheese.

16 oz. can. A nice Irish Red type pour with a fizzy tan head. Haze or floaties visible. Smell is nice and malty. English hop peeks into the nose after a few sniffs, just slightly earthy. Taste is stright down the amber/brown ale alley. Hops get a little more sharp, malts carry a light suggestion of "Sugar in the Raw," but sweetness is overmatched by the hops, so no worries.

Bottle from Trader Joe's. Dark brown porter pour, foamy tan head. The usual pumpkin pie spice nose. Maltiness hits the palate first, then some pumpkin pie spice again. Hits of chocolate roast malt, and warming alcohol.
