Draft at Goldfinger's 5th Lagerversary. Solid gold lager beer color with a thin layer of foam. Full noble hop nose. Sparkling, yes, though these are not quite champagne bubbles. Nice and dry along with some fine carbonation.

Draft at Goldfinger's 5th Lagerversary. Brown pour with a slight haze and a thin white head. Lots of caramel roast malt in the nose. Taste is lightly sweet, but more from its thick malts. Traditional German hopping comes in to make it all good.

Can from Stone Path Malt. Pours a very cloudy yellow, almost white beer, under a sudsy head. Nose brings in a lot of apricot and tropical fruit, maybe even pineapple. Taste is unique from the unusual hop load. Just enough bitterness to curl the tongue after the first sip. No big alcohol taste yet. Slight tartness building along with the bitterness. Light bready malts are standing back to let the hops have their fun.

Bottle sent by Founders for review. The name is a little misleading. It's not made with fudge, but with fudge flavored coffee. Never caring for the flavored coffee from Gloria Jean's, I approached this a little more carefully. But no. I got a rich chocolate fudge nose when I started to pour. It offered up a big head of really dark brown foam. Fudge flavor is foremost as I taste it, too. It takes a while for any other tastes to come through, but I start to get a little bit of maple to it. Coffee note is a warm mocha note. This is almost too much to allow the bourbon barrel flavor out, but I finally pick it once the beer has gotten all over my palate. Thick mouthfeel and plenty of fudgey flavor. Haven't found the maple outside of the general sweetness.

12 oz. bottle sent by Founders. Bottled 10/16/20. Big espresso smell under the cap. Pours a solid black, with a rich foamy tan head. My first impression is of more espresso strength coffee. Bitterness seems to come mostly from coffee, then the roast of the stout malts settles in. Alcohol is slightly warming, but gets overwhelmed by coffee notes in the end. At first I thought this was not like a Kahlua, but my opinion shifts as I go further into it. Slight notes of oaky vanillin, and then there's that chocolate they talk about. Clean bottle with no sediment. On my palate, there will be a coffee aftertaste for a while. Notable in that it's a dry finish rather than the sweetness of many coffee stouts.

Can from Trader Joe's. Pours a slightly off-white sudsy head. Brassy color with just a hint of haze. Smell has that slightly catty 3C's hop smell. Taste brings back that big slap of pine and resin. I didn't think it's "pretty good for a gluten-free beer. It's just a good beer. Alcohol is not apparent.

If I'm visiting New England, I've got to hit the NEIPAs, right? Hazy gold pour, thick foamy head. Light hop in the smell. Taste is bright toasty malt, with equal part of sharp hop, more standard noble bitterness.

Light gold color, thin white head. Golden Ale smell, with some hop in the nose. Clean taste, malty but not sweet.
