Sample at Daily Growler Powell during the "Cupzilla Korean BBQ & Double IPA Showcase" on 04/01/2016. The beer is a clear orange-amber color with a medium foamy bright white head that diminishes steadily to a film. Rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of resiny hops, citrus and malt. Medium to full body with a fresh citrusy hops character and notes of pine, bready malt and a bit of spice. The finish is resiny hops with a grapefruit aftertaste. Good beer all around.

Sample at GABF 10/10/2025, thanks to Beer Savant for assistance with note-taking. Slightly cloudy dark golden color with a medium thick frothy bone white head that diminishes gradually to a film. Small patches of lace. Malt, wheat, citrus and spice in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of caramel malt, mild citrusy hops, wheat and clove. The finish is clean and fruity with a malty aftertaste. Above average overall.

Sample at GABF 10/10/2025, thanks to Beer Savant for assistance with note-taking. Clear orange-gold pour with a medium thin off-white head that diminishes quickly to a film. Sparse strings of lace. Piney hops, citrus and malt in the nose. Medium body with flavors of piney hops, grapefruit and biscuit malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a piney hop aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Sample at GABF 10/10/2025, thanks to Beer Savant for assistance with note-taking. Dark mahogany pour with a medium thin light beige head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lace. Malt, wheat and banana aroma. Light-bodied with flavors of caramel malt, wheat and banana, with some sweet spice in the background. The finish is bready malt and banana. Decent overall.

Sample at GABF 10/10/2025, thanks to Beer Savant for assistance with note-taking. Flat black pour with a medium thin beige head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Small patches of lace. Oak, malt and bourbon aroma. Full-bodied with an oaky bourbon character and flavors of roast malt and vanilla. The finish is oaky with a bourbon and malt aftertaste. Pretty good all around.
