Sample at the "Ohio vs Michigan Beer & Mead" tasting on 11/28/2015. This brew is a slightly hazed dark orange color with a thin off-white head that recedes to an outer ring. Thin sheet of lacing with some spots. Aroma of bourbon and sweet maple and honey. Rich and smooth body with flavors of vanilla, bourbon, dark fruit and a touch of maple. The finish is oaky vanilla with a bourbon aftertaste. Very good all around.

Sample at the Ping Pong, Foosball, and Great Beer tasting on 03/03/2012. Brown-black pour with a medium beige head that diminishes gradually to a dense film. Sticky patches of lace. Bourbon, espresso, malt and chocolate in the nose. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky bourbon, chocolate malt and roasty espresso. The finish is oaky with a bourbon and coffee aftertaste. Good beer all around.

Sample at the Ping Pong, Foosball, and Great Beer tasting on 03/03/2012. Pours a dark mahogany brown color with a wispy light beige head that disappears quickly. Sparse lacing on the glass. Aroma of dark fruit, chocolate and roasted nuts. Rich body with flavors of raisins, bourbon, sweet caramel and vanilla. The finish is biscuity malt, caramel and sweet ripe fruit. Very good beer all around.

Sample at the Ping Pong, Foosball, and Great Beer tasting on 03/03/2012. Pours an inky black color with a medium tan head that recedes steadily. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of berry jam, oak and malt. Rich body with flavors of tart berries, malt, oak and vanilla. The finish is fruity with a lingering raspberry coffee aftertaste. Good beer all around.

Sample at Denver Rare Beer Tasting XVI (Last Call) on 10/09/2025. Clear dark copper-amber color with a thin off-white head that diminishes quickly to an outer ring. Sparse spots of lace. Oak, malt, dark fruit, citrus and vanilla in the nose. Full-bodied and rich with flavors of oak, dark fruits, caramel malt, citrus, vanilla and cacao. The finish is sweet and boozy with a lingering chocolate, vanilla and malt aftertaste. Excellent beer all around.

Sample at Denver Rare Beer Tasting XVI (Last Call) on 10/09/2025. Clear straw-gold pour with a medium frothy white head that diminishes steadily to a film. Sticky strings of lace. Herbal hops, tropical fruit and malt in the nose. Medium body with flavors of herbal hop, tropical and citrus fruits and biscuit malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a grassy and fruity hop aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
