Sample at the taproom. Hazy yellow-gold pour with a medium frothy white head that diminishes gradually to a film. Strings of lace. Aroma of herbal hop, tropical fruit and malt. Medium body with flavors of resiny hop, tropical and citrus fruits, and bready malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a fruity hop aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

8.6/10 β€” Appearance 9 Aroma 8.5 Flavor 8.5 Texture 9 Overall 8.5
Sample at the "Black Friday 01" tasting on 01/22/2016. Inky black color with a thin dark brown head and quick lacing. Heady bourbon, chocolate malt and coffee aroma. Rich, chewy body with a bourbon character that is not too dominant. Loads of coffee and chocolate flavors underneath, making for an eminently drinkable beer from beginning to end. The finish is sweet malt and warming bourbon aftertaste. Good beer all around.
