33 cl bottle from To Øl advent calendar poured into a snifter glass. Near black with a reddish tinge and a few tanned bubbles on top. Sweet aroma with hazelnuts, liquorice, vanilla, chocolate, molasses, and a complex barrel profile - rhum, bourbon and red wine. The taste is sweet. Full body. Sweet finish with lingering dark malts. Very nice - somewhat to the overly complex side.

50 cl bottle. Clear golden colour with a medium-sized white head. Sweet aroma with pale malts, grasses, bread, citrus, and diacetyl. The taste is light bitter. Medium body. Dry and bitter finish with lingering diacetyl and grasses. To bad about the off flavours. Maybe a poor storage at the supermarket plays in?

Visited during December 2025. Really nice spot in the Józsefváros district. 8 fridges stuffed with Hungarian and international craft beer. Both the new waved stuff and Belgian and German classics, pricevise ranging from Czech lagers to eye watering expensive American meads. Prices are fair given the distance to the overcrowded, touristflooded city centre. Also 6-8 quality beers on tap. Everything is drink-in or to-go. You can enjoy the beers upstairs. Cheerful staff that spoke good English.Well recommended and a top 5 spot in Budapest.
