I'm a retired American Luddite and a refugee of the notorious 2018-2024 Ratebeer - Anheuser-Busch (InBev) fiasco. Thanks Brewver for the chance to continue rating! Since 1968, I've enjoyed all kinds of cheap macro pale lagers, starting with Carling Black Label bottles I found in Grampa Gino's wine cellar! My ratings aren't to style, but how much I liked it. Thus, my fave styles; lambic, wild & flemish, rate much higher than IPA since I don't like bitter hoppy beers. You like IPA? The lower my IPA rating, the better according to style! There, you have it! Easy peezy, no worries!

Can from giant eagle market place. Very light pale with slight haze. Slight lager nose, can barely pick up any lemon aroma. First taste is pleasant and friendly, this is a well balanced shandy. Nice easy lemon taste with just the right amount of tartness. I think these guys at spoetzl know what they're doing. I like the level of carbonation. In the middle I'm still getting satisfaction from this brew. Maybe its the slight amount of agave in there, not sure. Wow, in the end I wish I had another can. Great example of a well made shandy Shiner!

High hopes for this pounder can, since I had good experiences with a few other sour me varieties. Eye is slightly orange tinted pale and hazy. Nose is somewhat processed fruit on weird lager backbone. Taste is the same, a processed macro beer flavor with just a minority of fruit. You cant really tell what kind of fruit it is. Also, its not as tart as I expected it would be, not like other sour me beers. Yes, there is a tartness to it but to call it a sour, I'm not so sure. Decent level of co2 tho, throughout the session. In the middle this brew is a little disappointing to say the least. If I never would have tasted the other sour me brews, I may have been happy with this. But otherwise, its quite a let down in comparison. Even my wife, who generally likes fruit beers, said this was not good. Quite an unbalanced tart beer mess of a tasting experience.

Clear pale, Odd nose of dull hops on apple cider. First taste is hoppy, but only mildly hoppy. Its nothing like a hopped beer. Actually rather mil and easy going and quite dry. I'm not sure if the hops leave a dry impression but it does seem to lack the sweetness of most domestic ciders. I don't care for hopped beers but this cider is not bad. At a cool 4.5%, its quite quaffable. Good co2 clear to the end.
