Retired American Luddite and refugee of the 2018-2024 Ratebeer/Anheuser-Busch (InBev) fiasco. Thanks Brewver for the chance to continue rating! ....... and yes, I'll soon be a supporter! ........ Since 1968, I've enjoyed all kinds of cheap macro pale lagers, starting with Carling Black Label bottles I found in Grampa Gino's wine cellar! Later, my dad had faves like Old Mil, Strohs, Bud, Coors Light and Piels! They were all good for a budding youngster like me. My ratings aren't to style, but how much I liked it. Thus, my fave styles; lambic, wild & flemish, rate much higher than IPA since I don't like bitter hoppy beers. You like IPA? The lower my IPA rating, the better according to style! There, you have it! Easy peezy, no worries!

Can. Clear pale, very very light pale. Nose is quite weird, almost rotten apples! Taste is initially very tart on top of apples and it tastes much better than it smells. But, I don't like this tartness, it has the feel of chemicals added to make it tart rather than straight up from tart fruity apples. Mind you, its not bad, just the odd nose and forced rigid tartness. I really like tart brews but this on is a little bit of a turn off, its like hamburg is trying too hard. They probably should have done a survey across employees before they made a big batch of this stuff. Its like they took their regular blueberry peach and dumped a souring agent into it.

Big thanks to MrChopin for bringing this to the Pittsburgh RB tasting extravaganza 8/2009. Slighly hazy. Pale yellow. Strong alky impressions but has an interesting fruitiness about the olfactory. No carbonation detectable. Medicinal odd cough medicine. Sweet and tart at times lurking in the background, adds to the uniqueness of this brew. Alky lingering finish. Thanks kevin for letting me taste this even tho I am not good enough for it.
