Holmen2 Profile - Brewver (Dev)

Visited on 04.07.25. Three industrial lagers and one craft IPA from Horizont on tap at my visit. Also a fridge with canned craft brews, including from Horizont. Painted red and black indoors, with murals of communist leaders. The other customers were speaking English and shouting French at my visit. Not very big. Seating indoor and outdoor on the pavement. Friendly English-speaking service. Cool place to visit once for novelty, but not a beer destination.

From tap at Red Ruin Bar, Budapest, 04.07.25. Milky straw colour. White head and lacing. Fine aroma and taste of lemon and lime marmalade, papaya, passion fruit, pineapple and pale malt. Well-balanced and very quaffable.

Visited on a hot summer’s day 03.07.25. Outdoor seating protected from the sun and any rain as well as indoor seating. More seating upstairs. 18 interesting and well-selected beers on tap from Hungarian micros. Also a good can selection in fridges. The outdoor seating is next to one of the busier thoroughfares through the city, so there is a bit of traffic noise outdoors. Friendly service. Recommended.

From tap at Beer Brother, Budapest, on a warm summer’s evening 03.07.25. Cloudy, pale ebony amber. Persistent beige head and lacing. Aroma and taste of blueberry yoghurt, pale malt and caramel. Also some bitterness.

Visited onna warm sunmer’s night 03.07.25. In the middle of a park, but near the Széchenyi fürdő metro station on the M1 line. Three beers from Cecei on tap at my visit. They also do food. All seating is outdoor.

Visited on a warm summer’s day 03.07.25. To get there, one could either take the M2 Metro to Òrs vezér tere and then bus 85E, or take a tram to Élassarok and take a bus or walk from there. The picture attached to this rating i of the map of the metro/tram/bus station Òrs vezér tere.

The brewpub is located in a slightly derelict industrial area on the brink to regeneration. Across the road is a large, closed-down brewery of yesteryear. HopTop had eight of their own beers on tap at my visit, and the menu consisted of burgers and various snacks and lighter meals. I had a very tasty pastrami burger. Indoor and outdoor seating, but no proper shade for the evening sun at the outdoor seating. Friendly and efficient English speaking service.
