Stuu Profile - Brewver

Not somewhere you'd go to seek out beer, but they did have some interesting things in bottle and on tap (Maple Pecan Yeti for example). Quite a lot of outdoor seating, as well as plenty of tables indoors. I got the impression they typically cater for groups the way things were set out.

The draw is the fantastic authentic BBQ food. I have no idea if the guy who served me was the owner, but I think he said he is originally from the Hudson Valley. If you are a fan of BBQ then this is a must visit - be warned, it is extortionate, even by Oslo standards, but I was happy to pay for the quality.

Spacious chess bar near the centre. Small selection on tap, but some interesting bottles.

As there are better bars nearby, this is more of a visit to play chess (obviously) or if they have interesting bottles in - I found a new Lervig Rackhouse here.

Large brewpub to the north of the centre, it's a little bit of a trek but worth it. Mostly a selection of their own beers on tap, but they do also offer guests.

No flights, but small pours available (possibly only on their own beers?).

A fairly traditional looking (old man) pub. Decent number of beers available but no idea how quick turnover is. Offers flights (at a hefty £20+).

I'd say it's worth travelling for if you've never had beers from the brewery before. Also good to combine with a visit to the sculpture park.

Fairly central, in an area with lots of other interesting bars; the main draw here is the games. It's definitely a bonus to have a varied, exciting beer selection if you fancy pinball. (for shuffleboard, I'd probably go to Roor!)

Worth a visit if you are nearby.
