clear to slightly cloudy yellw, big smooth offwhite head.
aroma of traditional us style well hopped quite bitter IPA, and a hint of some serious chillies also - not always possible to get chili in the aroma, but this one has it. The hoppy aroma is a bit more herbal than usual, likely due to the chilies.
flavor is old fashiouned IPA hoppy, super well balanced, a bit of a chili bite, but it's not big and fits very well into the overall flavor profile.
I really dig super-hot-chilies, but have to admit that this is one of the most balanced chili IPA's i've tried, ever. palate is smooth.
malts are very slightly sweet, but balanced beautifully by the bitter hops and the hot chili. aftertaste is hops and chili and long lasting.
So happy they decided to go old-school on this one. Worked out perfectly.

1 pint can from kihoskh. dkk 174
pours a very hazy yellow, with a smooth white to yellow head, with some bubbles in it. looks pretty awsome, actually.
aroma is citrus fruity juicy hoppy, alc. faint sulphuric note, lots of herbal hop bitterness also. hints of a solid malty base.
Flavor is really really good, solid malty base, but not overly sweet, hop bitterness as grapefruit and pine, quite a lot of pine, underneath the grape and pine, lots of citrus fruity hoppy notes.
this hazy has retained nearly all the bitterness normally found in non-hazy, and also have a lot of the hop-flavored juiciness from hazy ipa's. will go down very very well with hop addicts.
the sulphuric cabbage like notes in the aroma draw down a bit, and can also be slightly sensed in the flavor to a much lesser degree.
flavor is 8 or above, aroma is 7 or below.
everything is balanced well together and palate is velvety smooth.

clear brown, smooth nice looking light brown head
aroma is very artificial, sort of sourish-coffee and sourish-malty like, chocolate, vanilla, faint spicy note from cinnamon.
flavor is cinnamon (lots) roasted malts, nutty notes, vanilla, toasted coconut.
a bit of a dissapointment given the high abv.

Dark brown with a fairly large long lasting light brown head
aroma of quite fruity hops, and roasted malts. more fruity than most black ipa's. aroma feels soft. craft-beer like. not industrial in any way.
flavor is more traditional black ipa'ish with roasted malts dominating. There are also hoppy notes of course, flowery hoppy, citrus fruity hoppy. There is something about the beer that feels unbalanced or clashing, i think it might be more smoked malts (or hard roasted malts) than usual for a black ipa, doing something with the fruity hops. Not the best black ipa i've had, but it is very complex with a lot to explore, and should be tasted bc of its uniqueness. I hope kasper will make more black ipa's and explore/expand on this recipe.
