Completely clear pale yellow with an egg white porous head. Clean nose, not the typical worry mess for an alcohol free. Earthy hops, apple on second smell, floral with some malt peeking through. Good hopp hit up front, mild hoppiness, floral, but fading fast as usual. Watery finish. Still enjoyable for an alcohol free.

Cloudy amber with a solid 1cm head. Ok middle of the road nose: earthy, mild tropicals, apple. Well balanced body, slight but welcome bitter finish. Mild, not an IPA even for German blandness standards, but quaffable.

Dark murky yellow. Stable 1cm head. Piney, vegetal, worty nose., Worty palate, slight hoppy bitter finish. Lingering worry taste. Medium sweetness. Light carbonation. Drinkable but not great.

Hazy / murky dar yellow / amber with minimal head. Hoppy nose, pine, pineapple, grapefruit, floral almost peppermint notes. Good fruit on the palate at first. Fades out before midrange with very little last bitterness. Drinkable but slight.

Completely clear straw yellow export lager with minimal head. Straight to beech smoke on the nose although not too intense: the malty aromas andd grassy noble hops peek through. The maltiness is well balanced with the smokiness and it's not overpowering but the rest of the beer doesn't match up with it. Not full bodied. Dry. Ok and drinkable but not great.

Finally: of the 3 cadolzburgers bought the first one without off flavours or odours. They lost me however already at "Irish Stout: Ein weiteres Beispiel englischer Bierkultur". Typical misinformed German drivel parading as knowledge. Nice aromas of berries, cherries, coffee. Nice malty hit up front, dry, coffee notes obscuring some hints of fruit. Nice lingering malty bitterness. Drinkable. Too high carbonation and not enough body to be a stout for me. More like a dark lager. Points for the nose.

Slightly hazy dark amber nearly ruby pour with a small stable head. It again has this slightly soapy / buttery odour of the other cadolzburgers I have tried. Slight malty aroma behind it and some caramel. The soapy butterscotch is present in the taste too. Balanced carbonation, nice maltiness but the buttery flavor is unwelcome. Maybe they have a Diacetyl problem. Nice try with the gourmet edition claim though...

Dark amber / light ruby with fast disappearing head. Subtle nose: floral with caramel, dark bread. Strong caramel and bread taste notes too, full bodied medium carbonation, tastes boozy. Long dark malts and dry bitter finish. Interesting see it is made out of old bread and sesame. Good but the finish is a bit too malty: more hops would have made this better IMO.
