Must have sampled it at least twice, and be mindblown twice. 90 - 100 : absolutely amazing. I'd like a drink like this anytime, even if it ain't the cheapest. 80-90 : Very damn good. It'll depend a bit more on the price - but this is probably one to seek out. 70-80 : better than average . Will likely enjoy again if it's priced compeditive. 70 : Average score for anything with alcohol . // 50 : The absolute middlepoint ( pure H2O ) Anything with alcohol beneath 50 is simply not worth drinking (seriously, concider your liver) // 05 : The absolute, final downpoint . On the other hand, it's kinda interesting to try something THIS bad, so you should probably seek it out ! As you can see, I use the FULL scale , and a rating of 70 by myself isn't bad at all !

Pours clear, amberblonde. medium sized, very stable white head. Scent is very funky, woody, smells way older than i'd expect. Taste is sharp, less funky than expected. Mildly woody, certainly acidic, but balanced. Old Oak, citrussy. the 40/60 is perhaps a touch more outspoken, intense, but less on the citrussy, fruity side. both are pretty good, this one being the (very close) second for me.

Pours clear, amberblonde. medium sized, very stable white head. Scent is very funky, mushroomy, slighlty woody,. 60/40 scented more like what I'd expect from this one, this one is the expectations on steroids. Taste is sharp, very similar to the other one. perhaps feels a bit more 'deepened out'. not more acidic, but longer lasting, more complex, more up front and longer lasting. Gives in on the citrussyness the 60/40 excelled at. I perhaps slightly enjoy this one a touch more, but it's very close.

Pours hazy yellow. Med size, white , med stable head. Scent is buret of citrus, papaya, very dank, mild creamy malty base. Taste is full, quite bitter (pleasant surprise). Dank, citrussy, quite good, actually !

Pours very hazy yellowblonde. Stable, yet not super smooth white head. Scent is filling the room with dankness, full-on juicy citrus, papaya, and slightly tropical. Taste is slightly bitter, but mostly chewy, powdery hoppyness. i've had far worse thouhg, but still, it's quite sweet and unbalanced. not the biggest drinkability or interesting features either. A decent IPA, but there are many within europe that can compete (and win) to this level of greatness nowadays. For USA, the bar is set a bit higher (at least in my expectations) and this one misses the mark to pass the bar.

Pours jet black, medium large, darkly tanned, stable head. Scent is full and roasty, thick, way less adjunct forward or barrel forward than expected. Taste is full, thick, intense, rossty, sweet, vanilla up front, maple in the back and finish. All overshadowed by an intense roast, slightly bitter even and only medium sweet. Barrel remains fairly silent. Certainly not boozy at all. Nice, quite balanced. However, i anticipated and hoped for a real pastry bomb. Still, quite a good one !

Pours black, small tanned head fades instantly. Scent is nice, toasty, full, chocolate. Peanut butter really shows. Taste is gull, roasty, sharp, getting that cloves thing i have been getting in a few stouts, and dont really like. I previously obly had it in less good maple stouts, but here is no maple AFAIK. Mild peanut butter, not what i expected from the aroma. Medium full body and medium carbonation. Ok. i had hoped for more. Sweet finish, but not over the top sweet.

Pours very hazy , towards milkshake yellow. Scent is showing loads of hops, but make eme expect hopburn more than anything else. Taste is sweet, fairly thick, bot as hopburn as feared (a little bit though). Danky, grassy, but mostly very sweet, powdery, and unbalanced. Most expensive IPA i ever bought in a shop so to say this is a let-down is putting it mildly...exhausting drink, even after 2 sips i'm already quite 'done' with it.

Pours clear blonde, small white head. Scent is scent is corn like, dms , not great. Taste is medium bitter, malty, medium expressive yeastyness. Fresh-ish, very mild sweet touch. Not as corn or dms forward as feared sfter the aroma. Not great by any means, but drinkable. Hefty pricepoint on a german bought pilsner though, as shelve companions are far far cheaper, and likely at least as good.

Surprised to learn this is a new version. i had it before, liked it quite much. Found a bottle in the airforce base - shop in Germany, no idea if it's fresh / kept well during transfer, but I figured what's there to loose?

So, (re) rating this beer, unexpectedly, even thouhg it's been years since I've had it (the old version) so can't really compare that well. This one pours bit unclear amber. Creamy, stable white head. Scent is bready, caramel malts, but seemingly crisp and quite sharp. Some (earthy) hops. taste is sharp, bit bitter, crisp maltyness but also some oxidation beyond these flavors, stale honey-maltyness, even touch of cardboard. guess it didn't travel all to well indeed, or it's just less good than I remember it to be. Still, it has a certain crispyness, though. It falls a bit flat in the end, no lingering bitterness, sweet-ish even - might be the oxidation again. Meh... not very happy with this, but I knew it was a risk. Might try again if i'm ever getting one I know is fresh.

Pours bit unclear, warm amberblonde. Small white head. Scent is quite pine forward. Round and full. Taste is full, quite bitter, very pine forward. Very outspoken. Crystal malts, but not to sweet. Bready. Very enjoyable !!
