Best of the downtown pubs or brewpubs in Reiykjavik. Busy but nice feel to the room with indoor and outdoor options. Several quality local beers on tap incluiding their own IPA and an excellent Borg IPA option. Bar food was really high quality and service was friendly and professional.

Bar Lupulus has become the go-to craft beer location in the Ottawa area. Added bonus - the food is inspired and innovative making Lupulus a real treat for a few pints or a dinner outing. Lots of quality Ontario and some Quebec ales, IPAs, stouts, sours and lambics on tap, on a nice quick rotation. The staff are locked in on the food and beverages. A top notch tastebud experience.

Visited on a recent 5-day trip to Iceland from Ottawa, Canada. After reviewing the beer list on their web site this was a definite target for a visit and I was not disappointed. Really non-descript from the outside, being in a bit of an industrial park in the suburbs, but cozy and comfy inside. A solid range of their beers on tap featuring a couple of their fresh, crisp IPAs and well crafted, dense Imperial Stouts. Service was solid and friendly and even got to have a few words with the brewmaster. Nice take-away selection in their fridge, which allowed me to take some cans back to Canada for sharing. This was easily the best brewpub I visited in Reykjavik. Highly recommended.

Low tan head on a near black body. Nose features heavily roasted malt, dark chocolate, cream and a hint of resin. Taste features dark molasses, chocolate, heavily roasted malt, and coffee grounds with a slightly vegetal background. medium to thin mouth feel for a modern IS with balanced finish

Foundational IS of the BOYD series, this Imperial is a great celebration of depth, balance and richness. Solid elements of chocolate, roasted malt, burnt butter, molasses and american hops. Mouth feel is slick but not as sticky as some of the BOYD series. A great dessert sipper or fine on its own

A lively white head on a creamy yellow body . Nose is relatively mild with sweet malt and citrus notes. Fresh citrus and grapefruit hops over a simple sweet malt base. LIghter hop bite than many of their IPAs. Fresh, clean tastes, with a refreshing finish

Slightly hazy amber body with fluffy white head with ample lacing. Punchy nose with citrus fruit and sweet malt. Solid, complex hoppiness with citrus, tropical fruit and some resin in a nice blend. The sweet malt is a great background. A small brewery with a talent for IPAs as well as other styles.
