Orval (2022) from Brasserie d’Orval was the one that did it!

8.6/10 — Appearance 9 Aroma 9 Flavor 7.5 Texture 9 Overall 9
Orval is a really interesting Belgian beer with plenty of character. It has a lovely golden-amber colour and a distinctive aroma of citrus, spice, herbs and a little funk.
The flavour is dry and refreshing, with a nice balance of fruity notes, gentle bitterness and that classic Belgian yeast character. It’s complex enough to keep you interested without becoming too heavy, and the finish is pleasantly dry and slightly bitter.
The only reason it doesn’t get a higher score for me is that the funky, dry character may not appeal to everyone.

A seriously impressive imperial stout with a wonderfully complex malt profile. Rich roasted depth with bold citrusy hop character. Spicy fruit notes, and a hint of vanilla with a touch of coconut. Full-bodied and beautifully layered, it manages to combine intensity with remarkable balance.

A refreshing session IPA with bright citrus and tropical fruit notes, backed by a light, crisp malt character. The hops provide a pleasant bitterness without becoming overpowering, making it an easy and enjoyable beer to drink. It has a lively, refreshing finish, although the overall flavour could benefit from a little more intensity and depth. A solid session IPA that works particularly well when you want something flavourful but not too heavy.
