330ml bottle from Etxe Peio, St Jean de Luz. Pours a misty golden yellow, loose bubble white head. Ok blanche overall.. moderate sweetness, gentle spice, lacking much depth or bright spicy notes.

Draught @ Le Boka, accompanying a Basque sausage flatbread and fries in St Jean de Luz. Pours a deep hazed, slightly dirty looking golden amber, loose white bubbles atop. Lacking carb.. but nice enough amber strong aje, gently sweet toffee.

75cl bottle from Etxe Peio, St Jean de Luz. Pours a clear gold, moderate fine effervescence. Easy-going middle-of-the-road medium, quite apply with some dessert fruit character, not sharp basque style.. some syrupy sweet action, fine easy-sipper on the beach.

330ml bottle, drunk in the Pays Basque after completing the French Divide. Pours a hazed gold, good white head. Nicely fruity, some passion fruit and lychee coming through.. decent, gently tropical IPA.
