330ml bottle, bought in Alsace, opened on return home from French Divide. Misty gold, good white head. A little bitter with mild hop shades, some grapefruit.. so so..

330ml bottle, bought in Alsace. Pours a hazed gold, good white head. Aroma brings a fair triple sweetness, a hint of spice to taste, measured sweetness, a touch sugary, could be creamier but decent overall.

330ml bottle, on return to Hazebrouck after the French Divide. Bought in Alsace. Pours a deep, hazed dark brown. Nice subtle roast on initial sip with a glowing sweet toffee afterburn.. going well with a merveilleux from Houcke.

75cl bottle gifted to me at the finish line of the French Divide in Mendionde, Pays Basque, after cycling the length of France off-road, the hilly way, in 14 days. I'd discussed this brewery a few days before in the Parc National de Cevennes and was very kindly brought this bottle which was shared around. Poured a lightly misty amber, off-white head. Aroma of nutty, earthy chestnut with an appealing amber malt sweetness coming tagging along on the palate. Medium to light bodied, nice drinkability. Great chestnut amber from a talented brewster.
