0.375 l bottle from 'Het Huis van de Geuze', best before April 2045. Hazy, dark orange with a large, dense, almost stable, white head. A little sweetish, sourish, rather fruity, gently funky and a little vinous aroma of overripe lemon, apple, vinegar, horse blanket and oak. Minimally sweet, gently dry, quite sour, rather fruity, moderately funky and minimally vinous taste of overripe lemon, gooseberry, apple, oak, horse blanket and oak, followed by a medium long, fairly tart, gently woody-dry finish. Medium to full body, fairly effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Rather tangy, spritzy and refreshing Geuze, quite good overall.

0.33 l can from 'Hetbiermoment.nl', best before February 2026. Slightly hazy, deep reddish amber with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, quite fruity-resiny aroma of marmalade, tobacco, pine and some grapefruit. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, quite fruity-resiny, a little herbal taste of caramel, pine, tobacco, marmalade, black tea and some grapefruit, followed by a medium long, gently bitter finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice American-style Amber!

Slightly sweetish, sourish, rather fruity, quite funky aroma of overripe lemon, gooseberry, horse blanket, oak and hints of vinegar. Minimally sweet, gently sour, rather fruity, quite funky taste of overripe lemon, gooseberry, some white wine, hay, horse blanket, oak, some apple and a touch of white pepper, followed by a medium long, quite tart, gently woody-dry finish. Medium body, quite astringent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Lovely fruit-forward Geuze, very refreshing, excellently balanced.

0.33 l bottle from 'Hetbiermoment.nl', best before October 2025. Slightly hazy, golden with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, gently fruity-floral, moderately yeasty-spicy and a bit grassy aroma of lemon peel, banana, gooseberry, some honey and light fresh grass. Gently sweet, moderately bitter, slightly yeasty-spicy, a bit fruity-floral and a little grassy taste of grains, clove, honey, some lemon peel, a touch of gooseberry and light banana, followed by a medium long, gently bitter, slightly dry finish. Medium to full body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, average to lively carbonation. Pleasant Blond, very well-brewed, probably a bit past its prime though.

0.375 l bottle from 'Het Huis van de Geuze', best before April 2045. Very hazy, dark red with a thin, frothy, quickly diminishing, white head. Slightly sweetish, sourish, rather fruity and slightly funky aroma of sour cherry, redcurrant, oak, some bitter almond and light horse blanket. Minimally sweet, quite sour, rather fruity and a bit funky taste of sour cherry, lemon, redcurrant, oak, some bitter almond and a touch of horse blanket, followed by a medium long, fairly tart, gently woody-dry finish. Almost medium-bodied, quite astringent and rather effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Rather sour, not overly complex, even a little thinnish. Very average Kriek.
