On tap at Statua Rota, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma is full of herbaceous notes, vegetal character, and bready malt. Flavour is way too vegetal—something off about this. They’re going for a grassier character but we got boiled vegetables. Bad.

On tap at Patria, pours a dark brown with a small beige head. Nose is full of stale, almost sour malts—ugh. Flavour confirms this, with very sour malts, maybe a touch of lactose. This is pretty egregious stale/infected nonsense. Very bad.

On tap at Patria, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma has big resinous and floral hops, with a semi-sweet biscuity malt base. Flavour is fairly bitter, with big citrusy zest bitterness, bitter pine, and a thin biscuity malt base. Awkward balance and not the greatest gop expression, but nothing too bad.

On tap at Patria, pours a glass copper golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out citrusy hops, light pine, and some stale malts. Flavour is fairly bitter, with bitter piney hops, a touch of citrus, some metallic notes, and sort of stale biscuity malt. Reasonably constructed, just not the greatest hop expression. Decent.

On tap at Patria, pours a clear amber with a small beige head. Aroma has an oddly sweet caramel malt and some bready malt. Flavour is too sweet for the style, with bready malt and some caramel malt. Not a fan of this style in general, but this isn’t even done well. Poor.
